At DPF experience is invaluable. Our mentors provide insight and information with our mentees. They get inside information about  fields they are interested in pursuing from professionals that have walked that path and can help them navigate their way.

With our organization's mission always in mind , we strive to find new ways to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. Supporting the frontline doctors, nurses and other essential workers at the NYC hospitals is something that DPF is committed to do. As COVID-19 continues to impact and transform our everyday living, these frontline workers are standing strong treating and caring for our friends, our neighbors, our families and other loved ones at the expense of their own families. The last thing they need to worry about when they have a break is where can they get food. Your generous donation will assist us in alleviating this concern.

At DPF we have found that when youths have a strong sense of themselves they will embrace the unlimited potential they have inside. We have developed the "Kings and Queens meet Kings and Queens" program. 

Various Kings and Queens of Africa meet and talk to students not only breaking down myths of African culture, but showing the connections and commonalities of both continents. 

At DPF we discovered that  many times the youth we worked with were trying to compensate for issues that were taking place in their homes with their parents. Adults need mentoring and coaching just the same as youth due to unexpected career changes or other things in life happens. We provide coaching for adults that are experiencing a transition and may be facing some of the many isms that occur during these transitions.
